Austin Wayne Smith Obituary

Austin Wayne Smith, a loving son, brother, grandson and 
friend, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the 
University of Kansas Medical Center after a courageous battle 
with cancer at the age of 16. Austin was born the son of Tim 
Smith and Stacy Holder on February 4, 1997 in Kansas City, 
KS. Austin was a student at Turner High School who enjoyed 
sports, hanging out with friends and would always put a smile 
on anyone he met. Austin leaves behind his parents; brother, 
Bobby Foxworth; sisters, Lacie Smith, Pearl Foxworth and 
Breanna Allen; grandparents, John and Cindy Smith, William 
and Dorothy Jolly; great- grandmother, Pearl Rich, and his 
favorite side kick and Uncle, Tommy Smith. Austin also leaves 
behind a loving extended family that includes; uncles, aunts, 
cousins; his girlfriend, Mireya Gordillo, and numerous 
friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 
from 9-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM both 
being at the Turner Recreation Building, 831 S. 55th Street, 
Kansas City, KS 66106. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary 
Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. Memorial contributions can be made
