Austin Wayne Smith Obituary Austin Wayne Smith, a loving son, brother, grandson and friend, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the University of Kansas Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 16. Austin was born the son of Tim Smith and Stacy Holder on February 4, 1997 in Kansas City, KS. Austin was a student at Turner High School who enjoyed sports, hanging out with friends and would always put a smile on anyone he met. Austin leaves behind his parents; brother, Bobby Foxworth; sisters, Lacie Smith, Pearl Foxworth and Breanna Allen; grandparents, John and Cindy Smith, William and Dorothy Jolly; great- grandmother, Pearl Rich, and his favorite side kick and Uncle, Tommy Smith. Austin also leaves behind a loving extended family that includes; uncles, aunts, cousins; his girlfriend, Mireya Gordillo, and numerous friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 9-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM both being at the Turner Recreation Building, 831 S. 55th Street, Kansas City, KS 66106. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, KS.
